You all know how much I adore supporting indie brands. I find their passion and drive so inspiring that I feel the need to spread the good word about these powerful and creative babes from the mountain tops! So I am extremely happy to be bringing you a peek into the first ever holiday collection by indie design brand Ready To Stare.
Ready to Stare is an all inclusive brand serving sizes S – 5X. But all items are designed with a plus body in mind.
In the words of designer Alysse Dalesandro…
“One of the collections stand-out pieces is the “convertible Cupcake Dress”. It’s a dress that is fitted only at the band, above the bust and because of the elastic i the back, it can also be worn as a skirt. Instead of only presenting items that “hug your curves” or create “an hourglass illusion”, this collection is about love of fashion. If Rihanna can wear a pouffy pink gown to the Grammy’s, why can’t a fat person wear a similar silhouette to their holiday party?
I firmly believe that representation matters, and that plus size fashion consumers are tired of being sold images of models who don’t represent a broader picture of the community. Fashion isn’t just about clothes for me; it’s about social change.”
The collection ranges from $20 – 139 US and aligns with the brands mission of providing high quality apparel across and inclusive size range and selling every size for the same price. They offer all designs in size XS to 5x.
You can shop the collection online and follow the designer and brand on their instagram @readytostare!
The collection launches Monday November 16th
