How To Dress For the Holidays In All Black : burnout velvet by Chubby Cartwheels

Today I’m continuing on with my affirmations that Yes, you CAN indeed rock the holiday season in All Black Everything, while still remaining festive with my How To Dress For the Holidays In All Black guide. One of my favourite aspects about the holidays is all the parties to attend. Whether it’s your pals place or a work soirée, there is usually at least one or two chances to dress up! It’s also no surprise that my go to fabric this time of year is velvet, and the Chubby Cartwheels Natalie Burnout velvet dress is no exception!

This dress is made up of dreams! The cut is beautiful and the sleeves are so lovely. When I first saw this dress online, I thought that the cuffs were gathered by elastic, but they actually have beautiful little cuffs that is such a lovely finishing touch. This fabric is so pretty, I almost want to cry. She also has it in a gorgeous dark blue burnout that is equally swoon worthy.

I opted to ask Shawna, the designer and owner of Chubby Cartwheels, if she could alter the neck line for me. I like a higher stance on my neckline, though the scoop neck on offer for the dress is absolutely beautiful. I had her add the neckline that is offered for the Boleyn dress and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Shawna is always willing to do customizations for you, so keep that in mind! She’s so accommodating and really wants you to be as happy as possible with your item.
