Friday Favs #4

It’s been 4 full weeks of Friday Favs, how are you feeling about it so far? I’m really digging it, it’s a fun way for me to share more of my interests with you and I think it helps me broaden my scope on what I’m talking about. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE talking about plus size fashion, but we are fully faceted people and we are more than just our plus size dimensions. I love the chance to share what is inspiring me, like art and design that I dig, or make up trends and products I’m drooling over and all the things I see when I’m “window shopping” around online.

I’ve really been into following pins and patch accounts on instagram lately and I find I’m just dying to share my favourites with you each week! I like to share style inspo, even if it’s on a straight size body, I even shared a side by side of with my spin on a pin I found on Pinterest this week on instagram, I’ll share the photo below if you missed it! I ‘m also considering a change to my hair, I love the green, but it is fading big time and I have a wedding coming up in a couple weeks, so I’d really like to have it freshened up. I’m going to include a few photos for inspiration and let you vote on them in the comments!

We’ve been discussing redoing our bedroom lately and I’ve been going mad on Pinterest finding inspiration. You got a peek into what my bedroom looks like in the winter, but we’ve now lived in our happy little hobbit hole for four years come this May. That’s the longest we’ve ever stayed in one place. We find we both get the urge for change, which prompts a move, but we really don’t want to move any time soon, so we’re doing some refreshing in some rooms as well as tackling projects that we know will help maximize storage and help with organizing. We figure these changes will help us stay a few more years in our quaint lil home in East Van.

This week I wasn’t feeling so great, I was in bed a few days with horrendous cramps and fell behind with my posts, so I’ll have a + shopping post I’ve been working done, but just need to polish off, so it will be ready for you tomorrow morning, bright and early!

Enough rambling, here are my favs!

I shared the glow in the dark bat pin by Caitlin Stout last week on Friday Favs, but I kinda want an entire collection by her! Look at these, can you imagine how wicked they all look together on a jacket or purse?

I’ve been shopping around for a new bag for a friend, she has a specific idea in mind and I keep striking out. So far the only luck I’ve had is finding things that tempt me. I’d love a backpack for the summer months when I need to be toting around sunscreen, a water bottle and other things for daytime adventures.

But these bags are kinda killing it too, how fun are they? I hope the holographic trend never dies!

How amazing is this look? I know it’s not practical, but it’s perfectly good eye candy! @depechegurl is one of my all time fav make up guru accounts to follow!

My bestie, @meowzen,  did another rad Addams family tattoo this week, this time it was Wednesday! Love it!

Here is my take on a pin I saw this week on Pinterest. though I was nervous posting an image of me next to a thin girl, not because I think people will think I’m comparing myself to her, and it’s not a competition between who wore it better, it’s more that I think trolls will be trolls.  Most of all, I thought it was really important to show how you can take inspiration from everywhere. Fashion is not limited to your clothing tag size, it’s for everyone. And taking inspiration from places like Pinterest or instagram can be a really great way for you too look through your own closet and mix things up in a fun new way!

Ok, so I’m not planning on bleaching my hair anytime soon as I continue to grow it. I’d like a bit more length before I go and fry the strands, so I’m planning on placing dye over my existing roots. Should I go rose pink wash or maybe a lavender wash and embrace the roots. OR maybe green/teal route with the my roots getting died a dark blue over the brown or maybe go a pink route with a deep fuchsia over the brown? Let me know which one you’d like to see in the comments!

I loooove round up posts like this! I find so many new things to look at. How amazing are Cailtlin’s pins, I’ve come SO CLOSE to buying some a few times. That Pauls Boutique hologram handbag in #1 on my wishlist right now.

It’s such a gorgeous bag!! I think I could easily drop $100 bucks on one small order of pins from Caitlin’s shop. I think I have my eye on about 20 different pins I love, but I just can’t afford them all, especially with the shipping and poor cdn dollar. 😥
